Welcome to the Finance Wing of People's University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women, Shaheed Benazirabad. The Finance Wing aims to provide a cost effective, efficient and professional financial service which includes advice, direction and guidance and support to all staff and students of the University. It is responsible for the effective financial management and stewardship of the University and for ensuring that the University's financial position remains healthy and sustainable. The Finance Department is located in Administration Section.
Organization Structure:
Finance Wing is headed by Director Finance. He/She is assisted by Deputy Director Finance with the help of Bursar, Chief Accountant and Resident Auditor on issues related with Budget, Accounts Management and Internal Audit respectively. Also, Director Finance assists in discharge of Financial Advice function and appraisal of various projects of the university.
Functions of Finance Wing:
→The functions of Finance Wing of People's University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women, Shaheed Benazirabad broadly includes following aspects:
→ Manage the property, finance and investments.
→ Prepare the annual budget and revised budget estimates of the university and place it before Syndicate and Senate Committee.
→ Ensure that the funds of the University are expended for the purposes for which they are provided.
→ Discharging of financial advices and dealing with banks, employees and students of the university.
→ Financial appraisal and evaluation of projects and programs.
→ Finance wing, being responsible to Vice Chancellor Secretariat as well carries out directives given by them and ensures their implementation within the university.
→ Finance Wing also monitors closely the execution of budgetary process and coordinates with Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Administration Department in processing the cases of supplementary requirements, re-appropriations etc.
→ Finance wing also brings out Outcome Budget to monitor outcomes with respect to outlays.
A monthly expenditure report is being submitted to executive authorities and a regular review of expenditure is being carried out along with executive authorities of Universities.
→ Implementation and monitoring of New Pension Schemes of University is being carried out by the Finance Wing.
The supervision of Payment and Accounting functions in the University is being carried out and it is ensured that claims are being timely processed and appropriate service levels are being maintained in the university.
→A regular review of banking arrangement is also being carried out to ensure that appropriate service is provided by the accredited bank.
→ Issues related to delegation, processing of personal claims, revision of pensions, pay and allowances arising out of implementation of recommendations of Pay Commission etc. are also being done by the Finance wing of University.
