   The minimum qualification of a candidate for admission in First year MBBS Programme in PUMHSW, Nawabshah (SBA) and Public Sector Medical Colleges of Sindh Government  under all admission categories is Higher Secondary Certificate (HSSC) Examinations in (Pre-Medical Group i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with at least "B" Grade passed during the year either 2010 or 2011 only or any equivalent examination of any other Board / Body recognized by IBCC with at least "B" Grade passed during the year either 2010 or 2011 only. Candidates obtaining less than 60% Marks in HSSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent Examinations are not eligible.
DOMICILE

   (I)     Candidate for admission under the categories General Merit, Reciprocal (Merit cum Choice) Disabled seat and UEAP/IEAP (Local Self Finance) must be Permanent Residents and Domiciled in a respective District of Sindh
    (ii)      The Admission in U.D.P (Self Finance) will be given  on Merit from whole Sindh except Karachi.


ENTRANCE TEST

    (i)     Candidates who have passed Intermediate Sciences (Pre-Medical group) with at least 60% marks or ALevel examination in 2011 or who have passed Intermediate (Pre-Medical) or A-Level annual / supplementary examination in the year 2010 with minimum 60% marks shall also be eligible to appear in the Entry Test. The candidates who have passed A-Level Examination should submit transcript and equivalence certificate from IBCC Islamabad.

(ii) All eligible candidates for admission to MBBS will be required to appear in the Entrance Test.
(iii) The entrance test shall be conducted from the prescribed intermediate syllabus of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Larkana. There will be 100 multiple choice questions in the test distributed in the following manner:
(i) Biology              30 questions
(ii) Physics             30 questions
(iii) Chemistry        30 questions
iv) English             10 questions

The time allotted to solve the paper will be 100 minutes.
There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. Each correct answer shall be awarded 04 (Four) marks and there will be -01 One) negative mark for each incorrect answer.
6.4     The selected candidates have to undergo a medical examination through the Medical     Board constituted by the university. The Selected candidates must produce the     following documents.

    I)     X Ray Chest (PAl
    II)     unne DR
    Iii)     Blood C.P + ESR
    IV)     VaCCI'1atlon certificate against HBV
    v)     HBs Ag
    VI)     Foreign Nationals will have to produce a certificate of their HIV status from prescribed laboratories In Pakistan.
6.5 Eligibility criteria for Overseas I Foreign National candidates with qualification other than
     those from the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education in Pakistan.

1.    Out of three science subjects Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects. The third science subject could be Physics or Mathematics.

    2     Equivalence Certificate of HSSC (Pre-Medical) with minimum 60% marks, from IBCC Islamabad.

3.    Country secondary school certificate / marks certificate of Intermediate examination / A Level having passed during the year 2010 or 2011.

4.    SAT-II examination score with minimum 700 marks In each subject, I.e Chemistry, Biology and Physics or Mathematics.

5.    Valid TOEFL or IELTS with a score of 500 or 5,5,

6.    Passport with valid visa.

7.    Six passport size photographs of candidates.
