INTRODUCTION

Department of paediatric surgery established in 2001 & before that there was no paediatric surgery services in this university. Department grown over the period of years and now with the bed strength of 40 we are providing services in all kinds of paediatric surgery like Neonatal, Paeds urology, thoracic, in general & special interest in paediatric laparoscopy .we have good backup services of ICU & nursery. Beside clinical facilities we teach undergraduate & postgraduate students and this department is recognized for training of FCPS & MS in paediatric surgery. We have continued research programs on different aspects of Paeds surgery and our special interest is on minimal invasive surgery in Paediatrics.
